Ewes News celebrates our residents and our employees. In each issue, we feature a resident and an employee in Eye on Ewe. You’ll also read about upcoming events, recaps of recent activities, and stories about the Lamb family in each issue.
A great deal of work goes into turning a house into a Lamb home. Recently, the Lamb Foundation completed the second phase of renovations on the historic News Agency building in North Wales. Four additional suites were added, for a total of seven apartments. Now, another 21 individuals may soon have a home at Lamb. How does Lamb make a house, or a building, a home?
Lamb residents love to get out and about in their larger community. They take the bus to Montgomery Mall, they work out at Curves, work at Timberlane Woodcrafters and McKeever’s Restaurant, and more. This issue features Patricia Soley and Joanne Vespertino and kicks off news of Lamb’s 20th Anniversary, September 2007.
Lamb cleans house Fridays and Saturdays each month from April to October. Lamb Getaways campers now can select from both day camps and overnight camps. We remember Bonnie Smith, send off Becky Dagutis with best wishes, check in with former Lamb resident Marvin Summerford, and discover Lori Reinhard’s hobbies. The Sweet Repeats crew, led by Bonnie Smith, welcomes donations, where sorting, hanging, pricing, untangling jewelry, and recycling are coveted team-building jobs. Learn also about the Lamb Cleaning Crew, Erlinda De Martinez, Lelis Vanegas, and Ana Aracay, who clean 49 Lamb homes with love, and Counselor Jim Schairer, who serves Lamb residents with a Christian perspective. Dana Koerber also tells about her favorite season: Christmas.
What makes Lamb special? Friendships. In this issue, discover the fun and friend-building ways at lamb, where summer Lamb Getaway camp, Friday visits to nursing home friends, and Family Concerts make for Lamb family fun. Meet also Joe Evans, Clair Digangi, and Deb Rowland.
With 43 homes and more than 150 adults at Lamb Foundation, we’re making room for everyone with Ewes Mews, a recreation room for all, as well as renovations at 414 E.
