THE 700 PROJECT
During the last week of February, 2011, Lamb
Foundation
acquired 700 East Walnut Street,
North Wales, PA, formerly owned by long time
residents Earl and Deborah Wampole. This large
property will provide three new apartments allow-
ing homes for 12 more residential applicants.
The first floor apartment will boast the largest
family room in town, which will allow for plenty of
accessibility and social recreation space. Currently a
100 ft. x 6ft. porch is
being added to the front of the building to provide shade during the summer and
protection from the rain. It will also give a cozy and warm appearance to the home.
WE'RE BACK
For 15 years
Lamb Foundation maintained a
women's home in the Village of West Point in Upper
Gwynedd Township. The home was then leased to fam-
ilies in need of housing for the past three years. This
month we will once again
reopen this home for Lamb
Foundation use. West Point Village is an adorable small
town that sits along the SEPTA #96 Bus route and is
within walking distance of local parks, playgrounds and
pizza! This home will provide 18-24 hours of supervision
per day.
Residential applications may be accessed on
our website at
www.LambPA.com or by requesting a
housing application from our office at 215-699-5600
from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Ask for Trish.
ST. PAUL'S FELLOWSHIP LUNCHEONS
Over the past year,
St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ambler, PA has welcomed Lamb Foundation into fellowship and breaking bread together. On a routine basis, members of St. Paul's have invited Lamb Foundation to their church for
beautiful home-cooked meals including tablecloths, center pieces and candles. These gatherings have been well attended by approximately 55 residents each time, with
yummy leftovers often sent home for those who could not make it. We want to thank our friends Judie and Aly Shilling, and all the members of St. Paul's Church for their generosity and kindness in hosting these delicious fellowship meals for our residents.
FIRE COMPANY COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD
At its Annual Banquet on February 19, 2011, the North Penn Volunteer Fire Company presented its Community Service Award to Lamb Foundation Director Donna Mengel for her work with Lamb Foundation, the North Penn School Board, and numerous other public service positions. After the banquet Ms. Mengel said she was genuinely surprised and deeply honored to receive the award.
