LAMB FOUNDATION RECEIVES DONATION OF HISTORIC HOME
Lamb HouseFour years ago, Lamb Foundation acquired a three story divided house that was built in the 1800´s as one of North Wales´ oldest summer homes. The home was completely renovated into two apartment units for eight (8) male Lamb Foundation residents. This month, after a year of negotiation and seeking subdivision approvals, the other half of the divided building is being donated to Lamb Foundation. This second half of the historic home has been vacant for several years, so it will present more of a renovation challenge. When renovations are complete the entire building will be attractively restored on the outside, and modernized on the inside to provide homes for additional senior citizens and disabled adults who would otherwise be homeless.

At a time when many agencies are finding it necessary to curtail services, Lamb Foundation continues to expand its mission to provide additional housing to the growing number of homeless adults with disabilities in the North Penn area of Montgomery County. Lamb Foundation does not accept government contracts or government grants for its housing program. We are truly blessed by generous gifts and donations from individuals, charitable foundations, and private corporations.

LAMB & GRIFFIN´S CLUB - A FIRST YEAR INITIATIVE SUCCESS
Lamb & GriffinsDuring the 2009-2010 school year, Lamb Foundation and Gwynedd Mercy College initiated a successful collaborative effort, spearheaded by Steven Rufe, a student advisor for the Mercy Works Project. Every Friday afternoon, Steve brought a group of volunteer students from Gwynedd Mercy College to visit with residents at the Main House of Lamb Foundation for socializing, games, craft activities and companionship with the residents. These Friday afternoon visits became so popular that soon residents from other Lamb Foundation homes began to join Lamb with Griffinswhat became known as the "Lamb & Griffin´s Club."

Gwynedd Mercy College is now in recess for the summer, but the Lamb & Griffin´s Club will resume in the Fall when the students return to the College. Already the residents are planning new Lamb & Griffin´s Club activities with emphasis on exercise, weight control, athletics and healthy choices. We wish our Gwynedd Mercy College friends a warm and wonderful summer vacation, and we´ll see you in the Fall.
